Congratulations are in order for Michaela Fox from the Muntons Central Services team, who has just been awarded “Best Payroll Diploma student” for part one of the two-year Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management Diploma course.
The course is attended by over 240 students each year so to be awarded the “Best Student” accolade is a real achievement. Michaela was presented with her award by Colin Jackson, business manager of Payroll outsourcing, at the Annual Payroll conference in Kenilworth on Thursday 10th November.
Michaela started the correspondence course in January 2005 and was stunned upon hearing of her success. “What particularly amazed me about winning the award is that Payroll is not my major function, I simply cover Payroll during holidays and sickness” said Michaela. She continued: “I don’t like to make a fuss about things and it seamed a little unfair that I should have won but I have to say that, when I thought about it, I was quietly chuffed!” Michaela has worked at Muntons for just over ten years.
Roger Barker, Finance Director of Muntons plc said, “we actively encourage our employees to further their work related education. To hear that one of our staff had won this top award was particularly gratifying and underlines the commitment that Michaela has made to this programme. We are all very proud of her achievement”
