Andrew Fuller has joined the Muntons Malted Ingredients (MMI) Technical Sales Support team, as a product development technologist. He will be responsible for the technical development of their product ranges, which include malted flakes, malt flours, malted flour blends and malted kibbled cereals for a host of product applications including those in the bakery and food industry.
This appointment marks the beginning of an expansion of the Technical Sales Support team within MMI; one that fits comfortably with the growing market interest in natural and healthy food ingredients and clean labelling.
“Andrew’s background, in new product development for the food industry via the supermarkets, will prove a major asset in his new role,” said Jonathan Pritchard, Technical Sales Support Manager for MMI. He continued: “growing the team is essential if we are to offer the service that our customers demand and these days expect.”
The expectation is that Andrew will not only be using his NPD skills but also offering technical assistance to the bakery sales manager, whilst also building closer ties between the market and the production team. One of his initial responsibilities will be the testing and proving of in-house recipes and applications of malted ingredients.
