Muntons plc, the Stowmarket Suffolk based maltsters, is pleased to announce the appointments of three new directors to the Muntons plc board.
Andrew Suett has been appointed as the Malted Ingredients Sales and Marketing Director, Nigel Davies as Technical Director and Neil Pearmain has been appointed as the Supply Chain and Logistics Director.
In addition to these new appointments, Alan Ridealgh has been promoted to the position of Deputy Managing Director and as such will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business.
These changes have been made to add further strength in depth to the Muntons plc board. They take effect immediately.

The headquarters of Muntons plc is based in the county of Suffolk on the outskirts of the market town of Stowmarket, strategically located near to our main raw material – premium quality malting barley – and ideally positioned to access the UK’s major port of Felixstowe and the major road route into the heart of England.
With additional manufacturing plants in Yorkshire and Fife, which are also located in prime malting barley growing areas, Muntons purchase over a quarter of a million tonnes of UK assured grains annually and have a combined output of over 200,000 tonnes of malted products per year. Malt and malted ingredients are used in a wide variety of applications within the food and baking industries and is the primary raw material in brewing and distilling.
Muntons export malt and malted ingredients to over 50 countries. They are one of the five main independent maltsters in the UK and the largest malted ingredient producer in Europe.
Each year the Stowmarket headquarters produces 70,000 tonnes of malt, 30,000 tonnes of malt extract, which includes 5,000 tonnes of Spraydried and band dried malt extract. It supplies over 3,000 tonnes into the home beer-making market and has a 15,000 tonne malt flour milling operation and malted cereal flaking plant.
