Today, we’re proud to celebrate the official increase in production capacity at our manufacturing facility in Chonburi, Thailand, alongside the expansion of warehousing capabilities. This milestone reinforces our commitment to supporting customers across Asia with greater flexibility, reliability, and service.
The investment doubles production capacity at Muntons Ingredients Thailand Limited (MITL), enabling us to meet growing demand for our portfolio of ingredient solutions across the region. The expanded warehouse further strengthens storage and logistics capabilities, enhancing supply chain resilience and improving service levels for our valued customers in Asia.
The increased capacity supports our business across four key solution areas: Natural Powder Extracts, Malted Beverage Systems, Toppings & Inclusions, and Smart Substitutes. These ingredient solutions are used in a wide range of food and beverage applications, helping manufacturers deliver great taste, functionality and value to consumers.
Our expanded factory facilities were officially opened at a ceremony today, Wednesday 28 October, attended by customers, partners and employees, marking a significant milestone in the development of our Thailand site and our presence across Asia. The grand opening included a virtual tour of our facilities, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of the official plaque for our new band dryer. Guests also heard insightful speeches from our CEO, Mark Tyldesley, as well as representatives from the British Embassy Thailand and the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand.

Our history in AsiaSince establishing operations in Thailand in 2016, we have grown into a leading supplier of malted ingredients across Asia, serving food and beverage manufacturers throughout the region. Our growth has been driven by growing consumer demand for confectionery and bakery products, alongside demand for high-quality functional ingredients and manufacturers seeking alternatives to ingredients such as cocoa and coffee.
Products made at our Thailand facility utilise malt extract supplied from our headquarters in Stowmarket, Suffolk, UK, supporting a fully integrated global supply chain.
In addition to our manufacturing facility in Chonburi, we operate an Innovation Centre in Bangkok, providing customers with product development support, application expertise and collaborative innovation to help bring new products to market.
