Through practical support, long-term partnerships and incentivised programmes, we're helping to build a more resilient, lower-carbon supply chain from grain to glass. We’ve been involved in regenerative agriculture trials for over a decade, and continue to pioneer programmes that deliver measurable environmental benefits while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.

What is Regenerative Agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture is an approach to farming that focuses on improving soil health, increasing biodiversity and enhancing the long-term resilience of agricultural land. It works with natural processes to produce high-quality crops while protecting and restoring the environment for future generations.

We work directly with farmers, grain merchants and grower groups to implement regenerative practices, offering incentivised malting barley programmes that reward lower-carbon farming. We’ve also been collaborating with our global brewing and distilling customers to scale regenerative agriculture programmes, with some of those pilot projects now becoming at-scale programmes, such as HEINEKEN UK’s Regenerative Agriculture programme. Through these partnerships, we're helping farmers improve soil health, increase biodiversity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while continuing to produce exceptional malting barley.
