It's Water Saving Week

When making malt extract, our evaporation process generates significant volumes of liquid condensate. To be as efficient as possible, we collect this in our water tanks and reuse it where it is most useful. Whenever our buffer tanks reach capacity, we then divert the condensate to our wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).
However, by working closely with our engineers and WWTP team, we have been able to reduce the amount of diversion by 80,000 litres a day; which equates to roughly 160 families' daily water usage. This avoids the need to heat a volume of water that is not required in the process and gives us the capacity to expand production in other areas that require the AD plant processing step.
